If you love arts and history, this place is a must go. In love with the Picasso exhibition and best part, its free! They have some tours which makes our life easier. At the end we can enjoy a good coffee with toast and live music. I certainly recommend this place, even if you are not an art expert (like me )
There is always something amazing to see and experience at the Art Gallery of South Australia... The quality and variety of works on show is truly world class. Exhibitions are constantly changing and are always interesting. Staff and volunteers are are rad too. Do yourself a favour and check out their collection of indigenous, classical and contemporary art - you won't be disappointed.
Worth a visit and has free entry. A pretty wide variety of pieces will ensure a full range of responses. My kids also found many pieces thought provoking even if they weren't sure what thoughts they had!
One of Australia's best. Loved the gallery installations, the Picasso exhibition and the drawing room behind the exhibition. Amazing and lived the spaces as always!! Well worth a visit. Do not miss if you are in Adelaide. A cultural thumbs up in the whole Australian landscape. Do not dismiss one of Australia's most innovative states. If you don't believe me, take a look at SA history. You will be surprised.
For me The museum is a good size for a short browse on another wet Adelaide day. The main exhibit was well displayed and original, and the more resident pieces well rotated since my last visits with many new creations as well supporting old and new artists. A Picasso gallery was thought provoking, and a web in a room enticing . Reviews are personal, but I think there is something for everyone here.
