Whilst I buy most of my books online I do love to drop into Dymocks every so often for a browse, and more often than not buy something. I particularly like to browse the New Release shelves and it's nice to be able to flick through a book and read some random passages to see if it interests me. I often find Novels and new authors that I might have overlooked online. Also sometimes I want a specific book NOW and don't want to wait for postage. They have a reasonable range for a non online store, but they also do have a online shop which I have looked at but not purchased anything. The staff are usually friendly and helpful, they have on occasion put me onto authors I wouldn't have tried otherwise, and usually have liked them. In store they have a section of books that have been reviewed by staff, with their comments, which I have also found useful. The store is on two levels with an escalator giving easy access to the upper level. I find browsing in a real book shop to be a very pleasant, almost calming experience. I we recommend Dymocks.
Good range, and fantastic service. Plenty of people around to help and quick through the checkout. Portico is good for a brick and mortar store.
