Great museum with many interesting exhibits. Well worth a visit.
Great place to bring the kids. Lots to do and learn and the school holiday activities they run are lots of fun even for the parents too. The staff are really lovely and the gift shop has lots of great things to buy.
Great spot to go to when in Port Adelaide. Learn about South Australia's maritime history They have interactive displays and it's very educational for family's of all ages.
The collection of items at the Maritime Museum is so interesting and quite extensive. With a full size vessel just inside the entrance, this gives you an idea of the quality of their exhibits. There are also the temporary exhibitions to come and see; these keep your return visits worth it. All this is housed in a beautiful heritage building in the heart of Port Adelaide. Don't forget to take your entry ticket and wander down to the lighthouse, where you can climb to the top and look for the dolphins in the Port River.
Great museum. Spent hours looking at all the stuff and came out with a much deeper understanding for Port Adelaide and it's history. Would be great for families and kids too. Lots of interactive stuff.
