The team at Form Physiotherapy has an amazing and refreshing approach to pain, rehab and life. When I first started with Form I was very disheartened, because several years of fibromyalgia on top of ballet-related injuries which I had sustained in my youth meant that my strength and movement was really compromised. Everything hurt all the time and each time I tried to get back into exercise I lurched from one problem to another.I went from not being able to do basic movements, such as step up onto a box, to being able to do multiple sets holding a weight. My personal best at deadlifting is now 90kg. The best bit is that I have a lot more confidence and can achieve so much more day to day. I recently completed a 35km charity walk, which is something I could never have done before. Previously, I would have struggled to clock up 35km in a month. I can also do 40 laps of a 25 metre pool, whereas before my back hurt so much that I couldnt do more than 2 laps at a time.At Form I started with one-on-one sessions with Dave and then moved on to group strength training with Emma. There are three of us in the group and we get to challenge ourselves as well as have a lot of fun. The group sessions give me the chance to build my strength and fitness, work on any niggling problems I might have and prepare for the next challenge. I couldnt recommend Form more highly. In fact I did, because my husband and brother now both go there and its made a bit difference to their lives too!
A very innovative and refreshing approach to physiotherapy. In preparation for a walking holiday, I consulted Simon about a long-standing knee-twinge. A set of exercises that fit neatly into my gym routine has cured that and a back niggle. It's a collaborative, positive approach to rehab and injury prevention that I strongly recommend. Many thanks Simon :-)
Would definitely recommend and have recommended many of my friends! Toby and Dave have created a delightful space to be in and the manner in which they practice physio (from initial consult, giving you exercises that are easily incorporated into your daily activity, through to enabling you to manage rehab yourself i.e. not needing to see them all the time/again) make Form Physio a standout from the other physios I have seen. I am actually worried about finding a new physio when I move interstate...they have set a very high standard!!
Both physios at Form are fantastic! Very professional and extremely thorough. You can tell they are very passionate about what they do, it really shows. The setting is also wonderful, very spacious and beautifully designed. They have been brilliant at rehabilitating my knee and hamstring injuries, allowing me to get back to running in no time! Definitely recommended!
As a high level athlete for almost 6 years and experience with physiotherapists all over Adelaide, I have found the team at Form to be the best by far. An ethical - minimal visit - approach won't leave you feeling exploited and their knowledge of pain in general will leave you feeling confident about the outcome. Cannot recommend them more for anything from a bike fit to general strength and conditioning.
