Was met with a very helpful and friendly receptionist. Our room was lovely and close to some beautiful restaurants. Fluffy Robes and slippers finish off a nice getaway. Pool isnt much to brag about. However I am sure on a warm day it would be a welcome relief. Bathroom small, but had all the extras you'd expect in a hotel.
Just had a weekend getaway in the City and stayed at the Soho. Lovely location, funky and quiet boutique style place. However once sitting in our room for half hour or so and starting to look around we noticed a few areas of concern. There is a bit of wear and tear in the hotel - that didn't bother us as much, as we were most worried about the cleanliness... Our throw over our bed had a crusty stain which was also found on the side base of our bed, which was not too appealing to say the least. Squished food was on the inside door of our fridge, lipstick was on one of the wine glasses. We did check the bedding and it all seemed fine, until the morning after when we noticed we had slept upon some sort of colourful stains. We were sure to let reception know, and requested a more thorough clean. They apologised and did offer a room change but we were quite happy with the position of our room, we just wanted to feel more at ease knowing it was properly cleaned... Sure enough that evening when we arrived back our room had been PROPERLY cleaned allowing us to feel alot more comfortable. Overall our stay was nice, really loved having a massive bay window we were able to open and get fresh air from, it really is a nice hotel, just a shame that the cleanliness let them down.
Such a great hotel and good value for money. Only small issue with the shower not being very hotel. But its a wonderful room and excellent value. We stayed in the studio room.
My partner and I stayed at the Soho Hotel recently. I was not a good experience. We booked a room with a spa bath, it looked great in the photos. What's not clear when booking is that there's currently a big building site opposite your room. They start clanging things around at 6.30 am Monday to Saturday, so if you're expecting a restful stay think again. We also were initially given the room next to the pool on the roof. However, the pool pump thunders on loudly while you're trying to sleep. We asked to be moved and were thankfully, so the pool noise was cancelled but you can't escape the building site. The rooms are also very tired with many of the fittings not working. The blinds don't operate properly, a tap came off during operation, toilet roll holders are hanging on by a thread, etc... It really needs a make over. It's also not the cleanest hotel by a long way. The rooms are dusty and haven't been thoroughly cleaned for a long time.I won't be stating here again and I would advise anyone thinking of doing so to have a look elsewhere. And check out Google Maps for a view of the building site.
Fantastic room, modern and clean. Heaps of personal hygiene items in bathroom, beautifully large shower. Cheap room price as well. Definitely worth booking in city.
