We had a fantastic wedding reception here in 2017. The food was so delicious, fresh and beautifully prepared. We have since been back for our anniversary celebration and have enjoyed every bite. Excellent service by friendly waiting staff and a very accommodating chef! We can highly recommend this lovely restaurant.
Food and service second to none. The beetroot tart was amazing and the lamb loin melted in my mouth. Cant even begin to describe how delicious the chestnut desert was!!
Lovely setting in the Botanical gardens, perfect menu and great service. Highly recommended, one of our favourite restaurants for lunch in Adelaide
1) Very little food on the plates (I came to eat, not graze)2) $90 per head!!! for a hand-full of food3) Staff too efficient...cleared the table whilst one of our party was still eating!4) What has happened to the tablecloths?? Table tops mismatched, making the place look dull and NOISY (Tablecloths substantially reduces the noise level)
Food was a little disappointing though not for lack of trying. There were interesting combinations on the plate BUT I think the chef/s here take themselves a bit too seriously and they sadly lack the subtlety to pull it off. Raw is the new cooked but some foods were just too underdone to have any textural or flavour interest at all. Dishes were not very successfully balanced between sweet and salty. Maybe taste your own dishes with a more critical mind. However, the view was verdant and restful - sorbet for the eyes.
