Worst customer service ever received. Escalated to Customer Resolutions for additional support but nothing. They were very quick to get Debt Collectors involved however payment was already made months prior. There was no contact between their Adelaide Store and the Debt Collector so Hertz had their Debt collectors chasing me up. As a result, transaction was made twice. When Hertz realised the account was already paid, Hertz refused to refund the remaining funds and said to chase it up with their Debt Collector.Exact response from Customer Resolutions. "A payment made to the debt collector , they will have to refund you as Hertz cannot refund to an account. Also the invoice I sent you shows 0 balance due with Hertz"Oh by the way, the Hertz Debt Collector is now no longer answering my calls or emails. On going issue for 3 months. Would never use again.
Taken 100% cover, no excess. Arrived at our destination an hour later to find the car had a slow puncture. Phoned their office to ask what would be best, they advised they send out their roadside assist. 6 weeks later get an additional charge on the credit card, no explanation, nothing. Apparently, that was not covered in the no-excess cover and the small print stated 'a call-out fee may be charged'. If the rental office had told us we had to pay an extra $ 3 per day was required, we would have taken that - what is the use of full cover then if the customer still needs to worry. If the office had told us we would get charged $ 165, we would have changed the tyre ourselves. Finally, why did we get a car that wasn't 100% roadworthy and then were expected to travel the rest of our weekend with a small spare tyre that couldn't drive faster than 80km/h, with a flat tyre in the boot. Now that is really not roadworthy.Terrible service.
I hired a car from here, last month and I've never had such great customer service, the young girl with glasses at check in was lovely and very helpful with directions. I had a minor hiccup with my first car (I couldn't connect my audio) and Poppy was so wonderful, tried to help me get it sorted but instead we decided to change cars altogether, she set up my entire bluetooth and was a lot of fun! She is definitely a asset to your team. Thank you.
Best car hire place in Adelaide. One the few places who rent to p plate drivers also. Definitely recommend and I'm sure I'll be coming back soon
